Dear medical students around the world,

 

the World Federation of Neurology is a a non-governmental organization in association with the World Health Organization.

We have had a good collaboration with them in the last few months, including the approval and review of the checklist for SCOPE Logbook.

 

The World Congress of Neurology (WCN) has been the world's largest scientific event in Neurology for over half a century. 

Doctors from various disciplines, together with neuroscientists, have collaborated in the organization of the best academic curriculum at preceding congresses and have contributed greatly to the worldwide neuroscience community.

The next WCN will be held in Marrakesh, Morocco during November 12th-17th, 2011 and will be hosted by The Neurological Society of Morocco under the congress theme “With Africa, for Africa ". The main purpose of this congress is to provide Neurologists in Africa with a unique opportunity to join colleagues from around the world for the largest scientific event in Neurology. Discover scientific achievements and interact with delegates of diverse backgrounds and perspectives to find real solutions to improve the long-term outcomes for patients with neurological disorders.

 

The World Federation of Neurology Trustees have given their agreement to offer to two medical students who are members of the IFMSA free registrations for the WCN in Marrakesh, which will take place on 12 - 17 November 2011.

The IFMSA will select the applicants and inform the WFN Education Committee chair, who will have the final say as to who the awardees will be.

The winners will then be invited by the WFN Education Committee chair to attend the meeting in Marrakesh, where they will be introduced to the Committee.

 

It's a great opportunity for us, as medical students, to be introduced to the Medical Associations, and it's a great chance to be involved in high level discussions, so...

send a short motivation letter, explaining why you would like to participate, and a short CV, including IFMSA and other activities, before the 9th of October.
