Surgery Summer Camp
22th – 28th of August 2011
Are you fond of surgery? Do you want to learn more about this branch? Or do you want to get the basic practical skills? We have the perfect solution for you!In Constanta, Romania, from 22nd August to 28th August, we organize a one-week workshop especially for foreign medical students: Surgery Summer Camp.This is the perfect opportunity to learn basic surgical techniques that you can succesfully use in the OR. You will learn how to tie a surgical knot, how to suture, you will get the basics on intestinal anastomosis or vascular patches, and you can play with our laparoscopy simulators.Besides, this is a great opportunity to meet new people and to enjoy our social program. SSC is a great combination between a fun holiday on the beautiful Black Sea Coast and a dynamic summer practice.
The official language of the workshop is English. There is a signup limit of 20 participants.
Our main instructor is Mr. Vasile Sârbu, MD, PhD, Professor of Surgery, Chief of the Surgical Department of the Medical Faculty of Constanţa.

This summer, CFES Student Training Program is organizing a Leadership Summer School at University of Toronto located in the heart of downtown Toronto, one of the most diverse cities in the world. The event will play host to 25 motivated students and young professionals from universities and non-government organizations all over the world with 5 experienced international trainers. The objective of the training week is to exchange knowledge, and to share the best practices between the participants and the organizations involved. Furthermore, through the Leadership Summer School, participants will attain various leadership skills.

Third International Parkinson's Disease Summer School Warsaw
Third International Parkinson's Disease Summer School for healthcare students will be held between 10th and 20th of July 2011 at Medical University in Warsaw, Poland. The event combines: innovation in education, inspiration in research and teamwork in healthcare with social activities.
The International Parkinson’s Disease Summer School is a joint project which has been launched by IFMSA-Poland, European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association and European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations.
European Parkinson's Disease Association (EPDA) endorses the event.
The keynote lecture in our Summer School will be a patient. Students will work in small interdisciplinary teams to create a research project proposals. The process is guided by peer trainers (student leaders). The process outcomes will be quality assured by experts.
Students will present their work to a team of experts (patient/academic/industry) at the end of each day. Then the expert team will be able to take out flaws and guide the contents of the student work for the next day. Well reviewed research project proposals shall be the final outcome.
The number of participants is limited to 30, among them we are looking for 6 Pharmacy students!
So, join us for a 5 days experience in the Danube Delta. We’ll be staying in small but comfortable houses in a camping, which is also close to the Black Sea, we’ll be cooking our meals, we’ll learn about the Delta during workshops and assignments, we’ll discover it via excursions, we’ll experience the life style of the Delta, we’ll socialize with the people in the village of Sfantul Gheorghe and last but not least, we’ll have fun.
Fourth International Surgery Summer School Romania
Medical Students' Society Iasi is excited to invite you to the Fourth International Surgery Summer School, an academic event that will take place in Iasi, the cultural center of ROMANIA, between the 17th and the 31st of July 2011.
